Comforts of Home Massage is a sole proprietor business created by David Melvin.  Back in 1998-1999, while working as an analytical chemist for Pfizer, David graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy.  From 1999-2009, he maintained a small practice out of his home in Ledyard, CT.  When he and his wife, Carrie, and their two children relocated to Wayland in 2009, he returned to the sciences and worked for a year at Genzyme followed by 3 years at Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

In 2014, David received his license to perform massage therapy in Massachusetts following an additional 155 hours of education at the Cortiva Institute in Watertown, MA.  He then established the Comforts of Home Massage business providing his services only in the comfort of the clients' own home.  From April 2015 through October 2016, he also worked at Bosse Spa & Style in Sudbury.  From there, he moved to the Massage Envy in Wellesley while he made the necessary modifications to create a studio in his home.  Our studio is nestled in the northern woods of Wayland.  There are two designated parking spots in our driveway for clients and a separate walkway leads around the side of the house to provide ground-level access into the house where the studio is immediately on the left and a bathroom is immediately on the right.

We are able to assist clients from their vehicles and/or with getting on and off the table.  We perform work on acute injuries, headaches, stress and chronic conditions.

Our client base includes high performance athletes, weekend warriors, working moms, stay at home spouses, student/athletes, senior citizens, hospice patients and working professionals.
